Both are orthodontic treatments. With Invisalign we use clear plastic aligners to move the teeth around. With braces, they come in either metal or clear braces. However for Invisalign to work well you have to wear them quite religiously, if not than braces are the right option for you.
Each set of aligners will gradually shift your teeth into place, and the amount of aligners you receive will depend on your treatment plan and progress!. Usually per set it can range from 10 to 60 aligners. And on average every patient will get about 2 to 3 sets of aligners.
There are some potential problems that may be encountered before, during and after treatment. These problems occur in only a very small minority of cases, and in general the benefits of orthodontic treatment far outweigh these risks. However, it is important that you understand and are fully aware of these risks. Regardless of how small they might appear, you should take them into consideration when making your final decision on whether to undergo orthodontic treatment.
